Proof of earnings

I feel fortunate in that my claim from application to decision has been less than 1 month but I have doubts about the income figure my ex is stated to have.
Can someone confirm how the net income is proved i.e. direct contact with employers, 3 x wage slips etc.
Many thanks

NRP would initially be asked for wageslips and these were not provided they would go direct to employer for the info needed.0

or they get on the blower to the IR and get p60 details.
is your ex self employed by any chance? that would explain a lower then expected net income figure as they assess net profit, rather than income.NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. THEY'LL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.
and, please. only thank when appropriate. not to boost idiots egos.0 -

He isnt self employed. I remember chatting to him about 12 months ago about bandings (we work in the same sector) and he was banded higher than I was, so I was expecting a much higher income figure (£150 more per week).
To be honest, something is better than nothing, its been a tough 2 years without a steady contribution from him.0 -
Could he be having a large chunk coming off for pension contributions?0

Only the same as me and its not a large chunk as such.
He may well have "boasted" up his income to me back when we were chatting about it. If he has had to prove his income then I am happy with the calculation.0 -

If he is on old rules, like me, they only take into account half of his pension contributions anyway. When dealing with the CSA its important to note that it is commonly accepted as unfit for purpose, and by default this also means the staff are unfit for purpose.0 -

It's a new claim so new rules
Foggster,
Does he have a "new" partner with kids ?
if not it should be 15% of net income for 1 child, 20% for 2 and 25% for 3 or more
I don't know on new rules to what extent they take your income into account:beer: I've paid the CSA off and stopped them taking payments:beer:
I'm stillowed some arrears by my ex
I was a NRP, now I'm a PWC, partner of a PWC, and parent of a PWC ( and very confused at times )0 -

Given that it's just gone through and only took a month to process, I would assume from the OP's original post that it's new rules?
