chances of getting car finance?

am hoping someone here can help please, have been turned down twice for personal loans in the last month once with my own bank hbos and the other with tesco
i have been attempting to borrow enough to pay off balance of an mbna card and buy a used 7 seater car, my question is do you think arnold clark or the likes would entertain me for just car finance alone or would the 2 loans being turned down have ruined my chances?
no arrears or late payments clean credit file on electoral register but have juust moved house in february could that be it?

I would sign up for a free trial of Equifax and have a look at your credit file. Your address might not be updated on it since you have just moved and therefore when companies are searching they are finding you have given a wrong address and then give and instant decline. If you find information on address or other credit erros you can phone them up and get it updated.
However now that you have searched twice in the last month you may find it harder. You have to wait 6months before you can apply for hbos or tesco again.
You can also phone arnold clark and ask what credit company they search, experian/equifax or another one i think. Then get your credit file through them and see how they are going to see you as a client. Remember you can get this on a free trial, if you want your actual score you will have to pay though.
You should of applied for the loan before you moved house in Feb, but i wish you the best in getting credit. I am also in a similar position.0 -
