mattress dosnt look too bad, will fabreeze later
but the duvet is a mess, i know no one will see it once its in cover. but will it rot or smell
i really dont want to take to cleaner its so expensive
will it just dry and be ok?

It should be fine.
And you don't need to take feather duvets to the cleaners.
I have a goose down duvet and it's been in the WM several times and line dried.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

it is drying nicely even though it smells of coffee lol0 -
I would think that as long as it is properly dried before next use, it should be fine. If you can sleep under something else tonight and leave the duvet hanging up to dry, that would probably be a good thing, otherwise maybe help it along a bit with a fan or hairdryer, and hang it up again tomorrow to air, over the bannister or something like that.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

it is nearly dry!!! thank goodness
well stained and needs a spray with fabreeze lol but will be ok covered
phew

I'd consider taking that feather duvet down to your nearest launderette and sticking it in one of their huge machines. I've laundered a down duvet in that way although I left it to air for a couple of weeks as the feathers clump together and the dryer didn't get it completely bone-dry. This is the perfect time of year to get a job like that done. My spillage wasn't coffee it was cat-wee, alas.0
