There is no need for anybody to get their knickers in a twist.
Regarding the unmentionables:-
I did write to the FSA on their treatment of securitisation. They are entirely neutral on the subject. They only appear to consider interest rate and term. Any fancy stuff like overpayments or flexibility that gets lost after a securitisation is apparently beyond them. The links they gave me to their MCOB just seemed like a how to do it whilst bending their rules tutorial.

I beleive the issue is being dealt with or indeed may have been already.

If it can't be explained in words that people can understand then you are probably right.
There are many things up for review at present (including the FSA itself).
The FSA have many consultative papers. The consumer does not seem to have much input at this stage. We/I am the lab rat. The objections of vested interests are prevalent. They appear to have the loudest voice at the consultative stage. I am not arguing in any way. I am just a number.
