Just registered and Paypal seems to be the only payment method. Not sure why, but at least paypal is a pretty safe method.0

There are probably several reasons:
1) Merchants charge you money to set up an account. It can also take 2 months to set up a Merchant Account.
2) Merchants charge you money for accepting card payments and for doing refunds. The minimum charge is usually £20+ a month.
3) Merchants usually hang onto your money for anything up to a month
4) You need to be PCI compliant if you accept cards, you do not if you accept Paypal - Paypal does. It costs money to be PCI compliant.
5) Paypal do not charge you to set up
6) Paypal do not charge you for refunds, in fact they refund the fees you have been charged.
7) With Paypal you can get to your money rightaway.
There might be more. I used to loathe Paypal with a passion but I have it on my website now because my Merchant does not release money for over a month and why should they be the ones getting interest on it! *mini rant over - sorry*0 -
That seems to make sense, I don't mind paypal I use it quite a lot for Ebay.0
