First off - I got these veggies in my box this week and I don't know what they are - lol
They have like courgette tops but they are small, oval and yellow. I went on the webiste to check and it says they are pattipans but I thought they were sort of UFO shaped:rotfl: . And what do you do with them - lol. I only have 2 of them, which is good as I'm on my own this week.
Also, has anyone got a recipe for gnocchi - the type you make with semolina and cheese?? It's like a savoury, cheesey pudding. I made it years ago but can't remember the recipe apart from boiling a clove studded onion in milk - lol.
TIA:D

They are a type of squash. Never cooked with them though. Soup?Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it.0 -

looks like they are treated like courgettes.

They're not really squished enough to be pattipans and they haven't got any ridges - Think I may phone up tomorrow and ask what they are - lol.Noli nothis permittere te terere

I grew some 'crystal apple' outdoor cucumbers this year - they are small, oval and yellow. (They also have tiny black hairs, some of them look as though they could do with a good shave, but these brush off easily!) Could your mystery vegetable be these? If so, they taste much better than they look!0

Summer squashes ( courgettes, pattipans and the like) are basically the same vegetable. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes and colours. I would definitely treat them as a courgette.0

i got round yellow courgette things last summer in my veg bax - had to send a digital photo to my mum to find out what it was!
tasted lovely though - just put them anywhere that courgettes would normally go.:happyhear0 -
