Extra long bed needed

My son (15) is already 6'3" and still growing. Obviously he has grown out of his cabin bed but I now have the problem of finding one where his legs don't dangle off the end:rotfl:

I don't have too much spare cash at the mo and will have to wait until pay-day but I don't know here to start looking for extra long ones - unless I just buy a mattress and have it on the floor - that way they won't have too far to dangle, and I could always put cushions on the end:think:

Any ideas out there?

Most independent bed manufacturers will be happy to supply a bed which is made to a special size.

Does he have room in his bedroom for a king size bed, as they are 6'6" long?

Don't think I'll be able to afford a specially made one and no his room isn't big enough for a king size and there is no way he's having my room!!!

Think I may get in 2 singles and he can have a T-shaped bed - LOL

Specially made ones are cheaper than you think.

Yes Ikea beds are continental size which are 6'6" long, but their quality isn't great.

maybe we've been lucky but we've had a few ikea beds with no problems at all - ones we have now all a few years old

Well I've never had one myself, but I just know that I get loads of people buying continental size mattresses to go on their Ikea bed because the ikea mattresses were so bad.
