. We did this. Got a 25.000 personal loan for a property abroad 3 years ago, for reason OH said that we wanted to get married and go on honeymoon. Don't think they will give you any if you tell them that it is for a property abroad though. We took it out for 18 months and we paid around £1500 per month. It was the best decision as we now have property abroad mortgage free (the original country only wanted to give us mortgage for 5 years or over without the option of paying it back early but we knew that we wanted to pay it back earlier than that), 0 -
