However, its now I have to cast my vote.
Plato talked about us only being able to observe reality in the way we see shadows, flickering on a wall, never the things that make the shadows.
As a conspiracy theorist, he was a bit ahead of his time! :rotfl:0 -
There's an election? Why didn't someone tell me about it...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0

Actually, I rather like that, I think it feels pretty much how I do about fairly pragmatic things. Its like an ancient observation about ultrasound.
Anyway, he also said things like ''One of the penalties for refusing to participate in politics is that you end up being governed by your inferiors''. And, well....I would't b so blunt myself but..........the debate forum party is still a pretty awesome idea:D0 -
How often do they have elections in China?0

It seems to me that on a daily basis they are telling us what we want to hear, they are offering the earth if you put your X in their box on the day but when the !!!!!! hits the fan I wonder who will stick to it. As always no one I doubt.
Tell the peasants what they want to hear. I reckon if by the end they told me the grass was green I will need to check.
UKIP is looking favourable although it will be a wasted vote.
Things need changing desperately but not the usual cr4p.I came in to this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left. :rolleyes:0 -
Before the campaign proper started we had some genuine discussion of issues. Now we have daily debates about whether or not we should spend £6bn on a tax cut rather than on the deficit. Clearly vs the £167bn we are in the hole for each year, that £6bn is the only issue. We should be greatful to the party leaders and the media for concentrating on this critical All-consuming issue.0

If "Dave" fired up the "Quattro" and came round to my house to garner support I'd probably vote for him...
..no good reason, just I like the way the poster ad backfired on Labour.
Do we have an official apathy voting option yet? The 'None Of The Above' box. It's about time we recorded the true level of interest in politics.0 -
Actually, its about whether we should impose a £6Bn tax increase on business, or not.
Leaving a tax where it is, is not a cut. No matter how many times Mandy tries to say it is.
According to one supposedly bright chap "we should do nothing to risk the recovery". Is he wrong?0 -

Not quite sure if there is a hint of sarcasm there, but there are much more important issues such as dropping education standards, an ageing population, growing numbers of unemployed/ unemployable people. The list goes on.
More important though is the deficit. Labour's plans to halve it in 5 years are simply not enough.0
