Why Northampton County Court?

Hi all, I just want to add to my fount of useless knowledge,
I keep seeing reference to the North Hampton CC. Is the just a CCJ factory for OC's, DCA's DVLA PPC's etc.

A firm of rent a threat solicitors used by a firm I once worked for (they would send a threat before action letter to a corpse) for £2.50 + VAT.
allways used Northampton if they needed to take it further. I allways thought it was just to cause max inconvieniance.

Can anyone add to my education.

Best wishes, handyman123.

Northampton is home to the Court Service's "Bulk Centres".

The essence of it is that many cases can be resolved without a hearing. Sometimes people choose not to defend or they admit the debt. This will all be done at Northampton. I imagine they have a Judge in the building for compliance purposes, but most cases will probably be dealt with by clerks.

But if you do want to defend, you can always apply to have the matter moved to a local court.

If you defend and the claimant wants to continue the case, then it 'should' be automatically transferred to your local court.

Northampton Court is also where it's 'moneyclaim online' small claims online service is dealt with, before, as fermi says, transfer to your local court if you defend it.
