After taking help from CCCS I have decided to make myself bankrupt I have a few questions I hope this forum might be able to help me with:
Egg have will not let me to make a payment to the Tax man using monies in my saving account - is there a way I can free up this money - £1200?
I have no assets and at the moment live between family & friends - I use my sisters address as a mailing address - will she have bad credit rating set against her address?
Can I sent up a bank account?
I am finding it difficult to make cash payments for bills using Bank Giro's with incurring a fee because I don't have an account with them - know of a bank that don't charge?

Firstly have you looked at all the other options available to you?

Re Egg I’m afraid I don’t know, but I’m sure somebody who does will be along soon.

Your sister won’t be affected in the slightest.

You might have some difficulty until you are discharged.

Use the bank that is printed on the Tran Cash slip, usually Alliance & Leicester

Hi Chauney,

You can open a BASIC bank account at most banks (Co op seems to popular around here). This will allow you to make payments, but you not be allowed ever to go overdrawn. You will have a cash card as well (not switch).

Assuming you owe money to Egg and have defaulted on repayments I doubt you will ever get your savings you have with them. They can use any positive balances they have to offset accounts that become a bad debt.
