Hi everyone,
My wife wouldn't be 60 when I retire and draw my state pension, do we get a higher married couple pension for the preiod up to her 60th birthday or will we only receive my pension. Also as she's entitled to a full state pension when will this start.
Kind regards,
Bill & Maureen

you will get a pension for yourself only
she will get her pension depending upon her date of birth0 -
you can no longer claim an adult dependent increase for her either as this was abolished as from tuesday
if you go to the direct gov website, there is a state pension calcualtor which will tell you when she can claim her state pension as the age for women is rising to 65 for any woman born after 6/4/1950, and then from 2046 it is rising to 68 in stages for all0
