    They should have called them investment ISAs.

    Quite agree. You wonder who thinks up the Government's names for things. How about the new one - "alternatively secured pension" - how would anyone know what that meant? What was wrong with "income drawdown", the previous name?

    One thing's for sure, they don't consult the marketing departments of the pensions companies, and I suppose we can at least be thankful for that.

    Now it's me that's getting it wrong - and I see so has Martin in his recent article about retirement.

    So income drawdown is now called "unsecured pension", not "alternatively secured pension" and not "secured pension" either.

    I think I'll just stick with the old name myself.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
