90 Day Mortgage Offer

We have recently sold our house, however it looks like being almost four months before we can complete because the bottom of the chain is relocating to this area to buy our buyers house after they retire.

We are borrowing extra money from the Nationwide for the extra mortgage but their products expire 90 days after you have paid the product fee.

The Nationwide tell me that if this happens we will have to pay the product fee again.

As anyone else been in this position and if so is there a way round it.

Probably nothing that you can do. Other than try and bring the completion date forward. The terms of the mortgage product would have been clear at the outset.

Ask for an extension on the offer? The OH and me are buying from people buying a new build and we have to sit around until their house is built.
We're not completing until July and our original offer was expiring in June (The product is no longer available either), we got a 2 month extension to the offer with no problems.
