Cos I've just spent half an hour pumicing my vile toilet bowl and it is limescale free for the first time ever!! :j
I keep going and looking at it in all its shiny loveliness
I wasn't expecting the pumice to get smaller though - is that supposed to happen?

Yes, it will as you're wearing it away as well as the limescale. I had to do this when we first moved into the house, vile job but well worth it in the end.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

I actually found it quite enjoyable and therapeutic.
That's probably why my colleagues call me 'weird in every way':cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Might be a dim question, but doesn't the pumice damage the glaze on the loo?

If you can promise me it doesn't I will don my rubber gloves and tackle both our loos! Do I need anything else - and don't say a peg for my nose!:wave:

No, it doesn't. The pumice just wears away on the limescale.
I was wondering if it would work on my enamel bath too? Does anyone know if it would scratch that?:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Oh, and I didn't need a peg! I bleached the loo last night so it was clean, then flushed it this morning, got most of the water out using a sponge which I squeeze out into the bath (so I could get under the water line where it was really bad) then scrubbed! Didn't even use gloves.:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

Thank you!
I posted this yesterday:
"The rubber feet/pads on my loo seat are starting to perish. Only slightly, but enough to make them stick slightly. Next week I'll be visited by a bloke with a weak bladder, and I really don't want him wondering what's causing the sticking!
Shall I just lightly soap them before he arrives? I'm not sure what cleaning products would risk further damage."
I have just set to with a pumice and the problem is cured!0 -

Is pumice the new vinegar I wonder? :rotfl:
Don;t suppose anyone's had any thoughts on whether I can use it on my enamel bath?
Limescale round the bath plughole is the only thing not sparkling in my bathroom now!:cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j
