Where for quality double mattress?

Options
Hello, I would like some information on picking a "quailty" double mattress in N.Ireland (I am in Belfast).

I am not looking for a "cheap" mattress, I am willing to pay for a "decent" quality one but there appears to be a fine line between getting ripped off and getting quailty at a good price.

How much should I be looking to spend for a decent double mattress?

I have been reading some old posts and I gather one must avoid the big chain retailers and name brands.

Who does that leave in N.Ireland?

Any advice is welcome really.

Thanks

Try Sound Asleep Beds branches in newtownards, south street and bangor, main street. They are independant and buy of independant UK manufacturers. They specialise in mattresses so have over 30 in store.

If you want pocket springs look to spend anything from £350 upwards.

Spend as much as you can afford on a mattress. You spend about 1/3 of each year on it.
  • S&L Furniture, Castlereagh Road, Belfast will sort you out and are lovely people to deal with and know their stuff. Ask for Tom, Martin or Danny.
  • I would also recommend S&L. I've bought all my beds/mattresses from them and always pleased with quality and service.

I will 3rd S & L. We bought 2 beds from them this year and after going to all the bed stores in belfast and surrounding areas and I S&L had the best range of products, best prices, best offers and good service. Oh and free delivery.
