Evil bank rant..

Yesterday on my way to work I had the unfortunate luck to use a evil cash point which ate my card for no reason what so bloody ever!

So I get to work, call the bank, sit and listen to crappy music for 3 hours (slight exaggeration maybe) get passed from the “wrong” department to the “right one” and gave them the details, they said they would cancel the card and send me a new one!:o

I was annoyed but luckily I have two accounts (with the same bank) and transferred some “misc money” from the eaten card account into the “bill money” account so I could use the bill card to withdraw some cash.

So today I’m in Morrison’s with my lunch and a few bits and my bill card is declined, how embarrassing! So I figured it does that sometimes so went to the cash point outside where the machine ate my card for security purposes!!!!

So I have no lunch, no money and no way of getting any!

So I go back to work where luckily my lovely manager lent me some lunch money and I call my bank! :j

They had only cancelled the wrong bloody card !!!!!!! I CLEARLY gave them the details of the missing card, stated firmly that the other was safe and sound in my purse, but NOOOOO can’t be that simple! Lets take all her cards away and make her feel like a criminal in Morrison’s!

GRRRRRRRRRR at them! And now I won’t get my new cards till tues/weds and they “have” to be sent recorded delivery, which means I won’t be able to sign for them since I will be at work, will then have to chase Royal Mail for it and see if I can pick it up next Saturday from the sorting office!

Bloody banks!

Rant over!

Thank you

two bank accounts (separate banks that is) with internet access
two debit cards for the two bank accounts
two credit cards (if appropriate) (unrelated of course)

    is a partial answer

but never be surprised at the uselessness of the banking system.

Wouldn't happen to be Natwest would it? They've been absolutely useless with me, cancelling the wrong card, never posing another one (despite three requests) and then behaving with indifference when you politely ask where it's at.

Natwest can send the card to your branch then you can pick it up on your lunch break, they can also send your pin there if you have to have a new one.

They did that for me when they spelt my (easy, short, not unusual) name wrong on my debit card.
