For the sweepstakes offered during the month of April 2010 only, the winner will also receive flights to Paris from the city nearest to the winner’s residence. The flights must be consumed during the same travel period as the hotel stay. Hotel and flight bookings are subject to availability, and any changes made to either of these after booking will be at the sole expense of the prize winner; certain restrictions and black-out dates may apply. If the potential winner is unable to visit the hotel or its destination for any reason, including visa restrictions, such potential winner shall forfeit any and all rights to the grand prize. Unless otherwise specified in a specific month’s sweepstakes, all ground transportation, meals, in-room charges (e.g. mini-bar, movies), telephone calls, gratuities, incidentals and all other expenses are not included. The prize may be subject to certain restrictions and blackout dates: approximate retail value of the grand prize is $700 - $6,000US depending on hotel and the flight route, as well as travel dates. Stay and flights must be consumed within one year of the day the prize winner is first notified by Tablet Inc. The prize is not transferable and may not be purchased, sold, bartered or otherwise exchanged for value without the prior written permission of Tablet, Inc. The prize winner is solely responsible for obtaining all required travel documents and travel insurance and hereby acknowledges that Tablet has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance or any other form of insurance. Prize winner may be required to execute and return a release of liability form prior to reservation of the hotel stay or flight ticketing. Prize winner may not be a minor.

For US residents, the Internal Revenue Service requires Form 1099-MISC to be issued and filed for each recipient who receives a prize if the amount of the prize is $600 or more. Tablet will send the winner a W9 form, which must be completed and returned to Tablet for the winner to receive the prize. A copy of the 1099-MISC filed by Tablet will be sent to the winner. The 1099-MISC will be issued for the fair market value of the prize.

Sweepstakes entrants must be 21 years of age or older as of the date of entry. Employees of Tablet Inc. and their immediate families are not eligible. Subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Any violation of these rules may result in disqualification. Tablet Inc. is not responsible for errors in the administration or fulfillment of this sweepstakes including, without limitation, mechanical, human, printing, distribution or production errors, and may modify or cancel this promotion based upon such an error at their sole discretion, and without liability.

The odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. The prize is not transferable. All entries become the property of Tablet Inc. and will not be acknowledged or returned. By providing your e-mail address, you grant Tablet Inc. the right to send you commercial messages. Except where prohibited: (i) acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winners’ names and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes, without further compensation; (ii) winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility (including social security number). If required, affidavits and releases must be returned within fourteen (14) days of attempted notification or an alternate winner may be chosen.

Am confused, sorry. Is this only open to US residents as the T&C's under the comp seem to be different to the above and say :

PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN SWEEPSTAKES. TABLET IS THE SOLE SPONSOR OF THE SWEEPSTAKES. THE APRIL 2010 SWEEPSTAKES IS OPEN TO U.S. RESIDENTS ONLY.

Agree with ChuckieD - it's a US Competition only. "Sweepstakes" are a US consumer sales promotion.
