Dual Core P3 3ghz Processor Pc World MISPRICE??

My boyfriend has just been into PC World to buy a processor for his fried PC, - he had a look online and then popped into PC World in the city centre.

The web price to collect in store is over £120 cheaper than the in-store price!! When he went to collect it the man at the counter scanned it three times thinking it was a mistake! My bf is sure this is a misprice so grab it whilst you can!

The part name/no is
INTEL - INTEL P4 930 - DUAL CORE -PROCESSOR
(454183)

And the link (if it works) is:

http://www.pcworld.co.uk/martprd/store/pcw_page.jsp?BV_SessionID=@@@@0227400246.1154712248@@@@&BV_EngineID=cceeaddihjijlglcflgceggdhhmdgmh.0&page=Product&fm=16&sm=4&tm=1&sku=454183&category_oid=-28013

BF says this is the cheapest he's found it anywhere and you can pick it up on your high street :T

Looking around the Web this is not a mis-price, PC World mosting have the collect at store/online price cheaper than the instore price. £121 price is the going rate for INTEL P4 930 - DUAL CORE -PROCESSOR so I don't think it is a mis-price just the going price.

Plus these are old now and the Core 2 Duo are the CPU's to go for not old Pentium 4 Duo Cores, The Core 2 Duo are much better value for money and much faster than P4's Dual Cores, Of course you have to have motherboard with a Intel 965/975X Chipset to upgrade to Core 2 Duo's.

A quick look online (https://www.aria.co.uk) shows that this cpu priced around £120 is the norm.
You have to feel sorry if someone goes into a pcworld store and pays the instore price !!

Ah not a misprice then, but an excellent price for the high street as with aria etc you need to pay the postage. And it's the full retail version, not OEM. :)

And yes src my poor bf had to buy a new motherboard, memory, the lot, it was fried! Our apartment block got hit by lightening and it frazzled the whole thing!

Just usual PCWorld rip offs for in-store purchases.
They make their money because you'd only buy it from PC-World if you couldn't wait for the product to get delivered via an online shop and needed it there and then!

That wont protect you lol, surge protectors are kind of false advertisement they just dont act quickly enough to stop a lightning strike. They stop little surges yeah but not a strike
