Me and my husband have decided to buy our first house together. We already have seen mortgage advisor and found a house. Today we are seeing sellers and giving them our details. Our mortgage advisor is not very helpfull because he is trying to give us tracker mortgage and we are a bit worried that this is not very good idea
we think we should go for fixed mortgage. which mortgage should we go for? and who has got the best rate? and one more question: what are the fees around mortgage? our mortgage advisor said its about £3000 - £4000

If you feel your mortgage advisor is not helpful just change...Regarding fixed v tracker....if people require security of what they will pay each month they would be inclined to have a fixed but be prepared to pay a higher rate....Re' the fees could be they are referring to solicitors/surveyors/arragement fees etc...ask for a breakdown........0
