Almost there .....

I've been dipping in and out of this forum for a few years now and have had some very helpful and non-judgemental advice from lots of people. With their help, next month I pay off the final payment on the rest of my debts! :j

I just thought I'd write a little note for two reasons. Firstly, to thank everyone for their patience and help in my very long journey. :A

Secondly, to give some hope to all those who are in the same position as I was all those years ago. :)

It has been hard work but we're almost there! I just need to write a couple of letters to make sure that they accept that the debts of paid off, and then amend the standing orders!

On the day that the final payments are due to leave the account, we also move home. This wasn't planned - the landlady where we live currently is selling up. However, this does means a complete new start for us!

So - a MASSIVE THANK YOU to everyone who's helped me and a HUGE GOOD LUCK to all of those starting on this journey.

Thank you everyone. I'm really looking forward to a new start, and without the constant worry of phone calls etc. One big lesson I've learned from all this is that I must make, and stick to, a budget. I also still get a buzz from paying for my purchases with cash .....
