so many to choose from0 -
I get mines from a place called Deal Extreme. It's in Hong Kong but i've used them loads of times with no problems. Aldi/lidl seem to do them quite reasonable too.Go for as high an amp hour as you can as they last longer. (our AA are 3000ah and the AAA are 1250ah)
For charging I just use a standard Energiser charger . Think it states 16 hours, but if I leave it on all night the charge light are out in the morning.0 -
That type of batteries you should be after are Ni-Mh batteries
Have you had a look on 7dayshop? I've not tried Deal Extreme so can't comment.
It’s recommended that you purchase anything above 2500 mAh though I noticed that the AAA batteries on 7dayshop are only 1000. I guess it also depends what you’re using these for as well.
If you're also looking for a charger then perhaps you should consider getting a Delta V circuit charger as it knows exactly when your batteries are charged. Something like this one for example.
Charging times will vary from 20 minutes to 45 minutes according to the type and the specification of batteries used.
There's also another Delta-V charger for use with AA/AAA batteries here, also from 7dayshop. It should stop charging when your batteries are fully charged.0 -
Definately agree use 7 day shop - always use them - no trouble at all...
However there is a newer technology really worth considering... The new "good to go" batteries... Hold their charge for much longer when sat doing nothing... good for much more uses than normal rechargeables which do tend to just die when sat in a draw or in say a torch.
The only drawback the don't come yet in the big capacities like 2800mah (Maybe there are now)
Mine are 2100mah and seem to hold there charge forever when sat in a draw so you can just grab and use...
Lots of similar ones out there - like Sanyo Eneloop

We bought the aldi ones the other week, they were recommended to us by a few people.
They were under £3 for 4 AA or AAA, over 2000mh & seem to be holding up well in the kids toys.0 -
I got a great small charger (ideal for travel) and 4 2000 mah batteries from Maplin for about £70
