Buy-To-Let Mortage Providers and mortaging a property when living abroad

Hi,
I own an apartment in the UK and am looking to move abroad and let it out.
1) Is there anywhere a list of lenders who do loans for let property? It's just I've rung the main ones and they won't make me an offer (they don't do that kind of mortgage, its not any other issue like equity)
2) I want to move abroad - but again, UK lenders don't seem to be able to cope with this and won't lend. I'm sure many, many people own properties in different countries so how is it done?
Thanks for any help!

Is this a temporary move abroad?0

If you're not trying to raise any cash to assist with the move abroad then the first port of call should be your existing lender to ask for their consent to letting the property out. That way you avoid all the expense and hassle of a remortgage and still keep things above board.Happily an ex mortgage broker!0

This should be pretty straight forward.
Ask your current lender for consent to let as happybroker states above.
If they refuse, then you should be able to find other lenders as long as you fit criteria i.e. minimum income, property type, rental coverage etcI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
