I recently broke my digital camera, it was a samsung and pretty easy to use.
I am looking to replace it, I have £100.00 maximum to spend!
Its basically used for pictures of kids, holidays, parties etc. Nothing fancy although daughter does love to pose!
I have seen these ones with face recognition that look quite good, but worried it may be too complicated.....
Does anyone have any advice as its a minefield?!?!?
thanks

I think a Canon A480 would suit very well. It is available from several places, but Argos happen to be selling it for a good price, £69.99, in red or black, 45 customer reviews, mostly 4/5 star. It is easy to use, and gives good results. It even has face detection, and will take movies with sound! I have had several Canon powershot cameras over the years, and have been pleased with all of them.

A 2 or 4 Gb SD memory card is essential (the 32Mb card supplied will only hold a few photos). Also 4 rechargeable AA batteries plus charger (camera only uses 2, but you can keep 2 others as backup), will be useful, and will save on buying replaceable batteries all the time. A case will help keep the camera clean, and protect it when not in use. You should still have change from £100! The camera specification is :-- 10 mega pixels.
