    Ooo talking of running, after big talks with DS last night we decided to contact the major athletics club here and see what they had to say. Long story short, the head coach said they'd be glad to have him but that as he coaches at pretty high level, he'd pass on info to the relevant coach if we let him have DS's records. Sent all the info through and he's come back to me pronto - turns out he's good enough to go straight into training with head coach! Anyhow, DS went to the club for the last time tonight, and by the time he left the kids coach, who first took DS on, was in tears lol. Looks like it's onwards and upwards, so good has come from the initial bad news!

    Thats fantastic Toots. I'm sure he will be sad to leave somewhere he has gone for so long but more likely to move forward and make progress at the new place. well done for being so proactive -if that doesn't sound patronising.

    Not patronising at all Jo, thank you for saying it! Just wish, with the wonder of hindsight, that I'd been this proactive about it a year ago! Never mind, all things for a reason and a reason for all things!

    OK MUNCHKI its time for us to come clean just in case you come on too late tomorrow. we need you to have your dongle on and working tomorrow evening. and you with glad rags (or exhausted rags or happy rags or painty rags or whatever) on and a glass of something alcoholic in your hand. because we have organised a virtual housewarming party for you over at facebook with your own dedicated event page where we've all been muttering and wondering if we dare leave it till tomorrow to tell you.
    It starts at 9pm and we will all be popping in to share a drink and a toast with you and wish you well in your very own home. so please please join us.
    I will send you the invite on facebook tomorrow evening.
