The 'Happy Friday' Dance!

I rang up Egg at 8.20am this morning (and got straight through more's the miracle, without even one ringing dial) and closed my Egg Card. I was just waiting to pay it off from a balance transfer from another card.
So it is gone! Hurrah!
And getting a semi-free night out tonight from work, for 'team-building' (so semi-compulsory as well as semi-free!) with pizza and a couple of drinks paid for. After which I'm on coke/water, which looks a bit bad I suppose, but I'm in debt, can't afford nights out!
Anybody else got a reason for a 'Happy Friday' dance?

Aww Linniestorm - best of luck with tonight - don't feel bad about drinking juice or water though, you have nowt to be ashamed of
A guy I work with swopped drinking beer on nights out to drinking lime and soda - he's lost two stone and rented a rather posh house, so I think that's quite an achievement on his waist and his pocket.
Ahh, pizza... *sigh*0 -

How much would I love to lose two stone! I might even skip the pizza for that!
On second thoughts, no need to go overboard I suppose!

Well done linniestorm. I won't join you in your Happy Friday Dance just yet, but I might manage a little wiggle if the phone rings! What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160

Well, just been discussing said night out with my two colleagues. They're lovely but they made me really cross!! Saying that I should take loads of money out cause its the only night out I'll have this month and 'you've got to live' as well. Apparently, the amount I pay out each month is way too much as well, I should pay just over the minimums, so I can go out whenever I want.
It's given me a glimpse of the attitude I suppose most people my age have. The one that everyone will always be in debt so why bother, live and have a good time. They plan to go out, go on holiday, have kids, buy houses and still be in debt, cause everyone else is, so why not!
I'm shaking about it, they really didn't understand why I'm doing what I'm doing and they seemed to think it was pretty stupid and a waste of time as well. Amazing!1st LBM (Pre-Career Change): 01 March 2006 Debt Free Date: 28 April 2008 | Worst Debt: £7244.36

Am joining in the dance, coz Leeds Uni fees for DS1 are being half paid by his grandad & I've persuaded them to accept the 2 instalments, even tho I'd missed the date to set them up! So, instead of £1200 on 31st Oct, its nil on 28th Nov as £600 being paid by Grandad & £600 on 13th Feb! And I'll have saved it up by then too!
