Hi,
Just saw your post now,
Depends what age your son is really. Camelot is a good park but is lacking in the more thrilling rides at the moment due to its uncertain future although they do have a great mini farm their for kids and a nice selection of rides.
If you are going to blackpool persuming your not already, I would visit the Pleasure Beach in Blackpool itself. Its a great park with a big selection of rides for all ages.
Hope this helps and its not too late.0 -
I hated it as a kid- sorry!0

How old is your son?
My kids loved it over the past few years. We used to get season pass and would be there almost every weekend and every other day. My eldest was 6 and youngest 3 the last time we went. Last year however we got a Merlin Pass and have been travelling to Alton Towers and further south to Chessington, Thorpe, and Legoland. As for Blackpool Pleasure Beach, I used to buy an annual pass for that several years ago. It is unbeatable for shear variety of rides, and has a number of excellent roller coasters, as well as "vintage" rides you can no longer find elsewhere. Well worth a visit.
Camelot has 3 good "roller coaster" rides, good play areas, dodgems, merry-go-round, and a galleon ride as well as the "rack". It has a nice area set aside for small rides which includes a "mini-galleon".0
