Bought some of this just before xmas - BBD May 2010 - always like to have one in incase i decide to make a bero choc cake (mmm)
anyway - dug mine out yesterday and it was all lumpy. - curdled maybe - never happened with a tin - just a warning luckily i was decanting it into another container rather than just plonking some straight in the flour etc
Could it maybe be the carton packaging that doesnt keep it as well?
think its put me off buying them....

I once had some soya milk in a carton that was off, the manufacturer told me that very occasionally there is a pin !!!!! size hole in the packaging. It smelled vile.0

Thanks for the heads up, we use a lot of evaporated milk, and pay no attention to the BBD of tins. I'll be avoiding the cartons. Not just a sucker for sweeties..:o0 -
I remember as child when we went to visit my nan she always made tea with evaporated milk and it was sickly, but we drank it so she wasn't offended.0
