i saw the job on jobcentre website couple of weeks ago but not sure whether it is worth doing?.
datatecuk.com
click on the agents required button.
i had to reduce my hours at work due to childcare and need to earn money from home.
you have to pay to register with the company and my friend thinks it is a scam. why would the jobcentre advertise it ?

I would say it's a con. You have to pay to get your site, then they pay you for every quotation you generate.
The thing is you will probably never generate any quotations. Web designers are 10 a penny these days. They are every where, and every one who has done something simple like click a button to have wordpress installed automatically thinks he is a web designer.0 -
I would automatically steer clear of any job that requires an up-front payment.
That said ..
It was advertised on the Job Centre website and it doesn't look like the usual work from home "Envelope Stuffing" scam.
I used to have an affiliate website for a mobile phone company that did work and was legit. If i'd had any clue about marketing then I might have been able to make a go of it and get a regular income, but i only had sporadic payments over the year i had it.
This seems to be a similar affiliate scheme. I'd email them and ask some questions - will only cost you your time rather than money.0 -

I wasn't aware of that ..
I'd definitely avoid then. Although it does look convincing, i'll give them that.0
