I'm £26k in debt and Payplan told me on the phone today that I'm not. So the letter from my bank telling me I'm over my overdraft limit...yadda yadda means nothing?!
I'm afraid I'm far too angry to do my SOF right now - just needed to let off steam! Aparantly I earn too much. Yeh right, if I earnt too much I wouldn't be £26k in debt!

Surely this is a good thing???? If you earn too much for Payplan to help you, it means you will get out of debt really quickly?0
-
what were you hoping they would do for you?Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
I wish. If I snowball my debtfree date is somewhere in 2012!0

It doesn't matter how much you're earning, if you can't live within your means then you will have a problem.
Try CCCS.[strike]-£20,000[/strike] 0!0 -
exactly!
I've roughly worked out my income/outgoings. Please note rent covers ALL household bills. My partner and I have a seperate account where we each pay 150 per week and all the bills and food shopping come out of.
Income
£1,360.00 month net approx. Am paid hourly so this can vary. Just realised how much the tax man takes a week away from me..including student loan of about £17 he takes about £100 a week!
Outgoings
600 Rent
40 Phone
300 Egg
120 Cahoot
60 Co-Op
50 Travel (bus/car)
40 Food @ Work
25 Going Out
40 First Direct

What do you all think?0 -
i think you need to split that £600 down more precisly
WillSShhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh0 -
cut down on the phone and the going out and the food at work (take sandwiches)0
-
OK here goes.
This is my share of the bills per month:-
Rent £337.50
Water £13
TV Licence £4.10 a month
Council Tax £75
Sky £18
Phone and Internet £10 approx
NPower £17
Food £50 approx..I live with a hungry scotsman!0 -
My phone is £25 a month for 500 texts and 200 mins calls (flippin orange) so I put £40 as my bill has never been that high. It's normally no higher than £30. I have allergies so am restricted to what I can eat...can't eat sandwiches etc...
I do sometimes take food but due to where I work it's not always possible.0 -
take your time but you need to post a complete SoA, that is a full account of your finances.
you might find this post a useful guide

obviously i dont know what payplan actually said to you but your own figures above show that you have a surplus each month and so do not really have a debt problem.....now i don't think thats so but thats what your own figures show.0
