Everytime I wash my jeans they end up with incredible creases in them that I can't even get out with the iron. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for any help you can give.

I would use a slower spin cycle, and try ironing them when they are still damp, that might help.

How and where are you drying them? If you're drying them crumpled up on a radiator till they're bone-dry, you're bound have have trouble. I've always found giving them a press with a REALLY HOT iron while they're still slightly damp does the trick0

I fix mine the following way: REALLY shake them out before you dry them- that means smoothing the creases out with your hands first, making sure the legs are the right way round (or inside out but both the same way round IYKWIM) pockets are flat etc and dry either on the line or on a clothes horse or if you are using a tumble dryer don't over fill it. Take them in when they are almost dry and iron with a steam iron

Take them out of the washer as soon as they have spun , smooth out with your hands as said , and fold as you normally would, then dry on the radiator ( if you can ) a quick iron and tadada !!:D0

you could always hang them in bathroom whilst having bath/shower steam would help to remove creases, dry flat or again iron whilst still damp:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:0

Thank you. I'm currently drying mostly in the tumble dryer with one load on the radiators each night as they only come on in the morning.
Going to try smoothing out creases before putting them on the radiator, slower spin and not leaving them too long in the washing machine. I know I'm guilty of sometimes overloading the dryer so will keep an eye on that.
Hoping to be able to increase my line drying this month.
Thanks for all you help x.0 -
Yep, overloading the dryer will do it. Some things are almost scorched bone-dry and the rest will just stay sodden and tangled. Plus, it's probably costing you are fortune! My daft sister used to do this and then wondered why she had piles and piles of ironing to get through. As you say line-drying is best and you can always bring things inside in smaller batches and finish them off in the dryer if you need to.0

Also make sure you don't overload the washing machine. I find mine get those almost 'permanant' creases if I do.0

Overloading the machine won't necessarily do it on its own that'll just ensure things aren't properly clean, it's overloading on a high temp. That's almost guaranteed to make any washing-load come out looking like a pile of old dishrags, as I discovered the hard way0

A trick I learned at Uni was to take stuff out of the tumble drier while it is still hot, 'coz if you let it go cold the creases set, then shake it out vigorously and fold neatly it immediately. Didn't even own an iron and seldom needed to borrow one!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0
