Not nasty at all, in fact the letter was written within 5 minutes while i was at work, and merely intended as a guide.

Had to laugh at your incorrect spelling though ;)

It was a typo, not a spelling mistake! My fingers are dyslexic :o Actually I was typing it quickly on a laptop keyboard when I'm used to a full-sized one (excuses, excuses...)

If anyone's planning on using this letter, make the following alterations before doing so (it's the journalist in me, I can't help it, bad English and spelling makes me wince

I'd bet you must wince a lot, especially reading some of my stuff...

Sorry if this seems nasty, but you will get much better results from a well-written letter that is concise.

I use this as my writing bible. At least, that's what I'm blaming it on. :D

And faint-mockery aside, I did "thank" your post as it was very helpful. You didn't write "Eats, shoots, and leaves." did you?
"Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

Clearly not. Lynne Truss would have noticed ALL the mistakes. :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
