Welcome, vw campervan mum. I have been winding this thread down a bit - not enough time in the day to write everywhere - and am focusing on my blog. Still doing the occasional post though.

Happy New Year toall who read this diary in the past. I have some very exciting news; well, exciting for me but I hope you will share in this since some of you were the inspiration behind this venture - if you had not encouranged me (directly and indirectly) to start a blog I may have never thought about it.
This morning I woke up to a wonderful present: during the night my blog had crossed the line and joined the top 1% of websites worldwide (according to Alexa). It doesn't look good, the navigation leaves something to be desired but I have been writing it with a passion that comes only from satying true to oneself and people have enjoyed reading it.
What I want from the New Year? I want to continue writing - for me this is the perfect point at which so many threads of my life meet. Who knows, I may write a novel after all one day. Before that, let's unravel the mysteries of the internet.
Keep safe and keep well. Be extraodinary during 2012 - it is in each and everyone of us, we just have to forget our fear.

Well done FW!! :j
I am studying WordPress at the moment as I have three blogs (no domain for the third one as yet) that I am working on and one that BF is working on. We will hopefully be right behind you"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."

Well done FW, and a very happy new year to you. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

FW, that is *amazing*. I can't quite put into words how excited I am, and how full of respect for that achievement. Many, many congratulations! I'd not kept up reading, sadly, but will make it part of my regular drop-in from now on. Its in a bookmark folder called "special links" now.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks, guys. And please don't only read - you know that I love hearing back and knowing whether there is anything I/we can help with; anything people would like us to start, research etc.
Since we are rather popular in the US, I can only say: you are awesome!
I'll come here from time to time but my main focus will be 'over there' - both places btw. We have a lot to build together. To paraphrase a well know song 'it is a woman's world' and it is long overdue.

That's fantastic FW. Ive not read your blog but I will check it out. You said on MG's thread that there is an argument for not paying off your mortgage... I'd be interested to hear more about this as I have no debt but I was going to try and pay down the mortgage as much as I can this year..I thought it best to pay overpayments (no penalties) direct to mortgage lender as I thought it best to save on interest this way? Any pointers?0

(Although you have kept us in suspense about the letter! What was it like reading it?):A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
The letter was a bit of a disappointment - it was about the things that I want to eliminate from my life. Some I did, some I didn't.
