We are back; after a smooth journey we are back home and it feels nice. Tomorrow we will have to do the bills but tonight rest and early bed.

Oh, and we are having another wave of technology disasters. Just before we went away our washing machine stopped working; came back and the dishwasher had gone the same way. Good thing that OH has become an expert mending the dishwasher – running now and we are sitting here keeping our fingers crossed.

Slept so well it is not real. In fact, I stayed in bed till nine this morning and OH had to get Little Boy up and ready to go to school. On technology and money spending (which our saving regine is becoming lately) the dishwasher is fine (I married a genius but at least I know it; and bless him I so much wish he becomes a financial whizz as well) and will have a washing machine by early afternoon. Brilliant hubby found a great LG for £180 cash (I think on e-bay). It is the latest model so not old and new costs over £400 - sending a wish that it does well for us.

Also today is a very interesting Bulgarian day of celebration - Baba Marta (Grandma March). Every March 1, Bulgarians give each other and start wearing white and red tread (usually woven in an interesting pattern) and wish each other Happy Baba Marta. This is, I suspect, pagan and is a symbol and hope for fruitfulness and plenty through the year (end of winder, start of working the fields etc.).

    So my friends
    Happy Baba Marta

to you all. Let it bring joy and prosperity to all of us.

PS: Sorry can't do white on this background.

Thanks, guys! This is the spirit - lovely martenizi exchanged.

Will, no offence taken - in fact this looks cool. When I am finished losing weight I'll look like that but in leathers. And snow board gear and action. Defying the aging process is my mission.
