Tesco John West Tuna 8 tins for £2.69

Boohoo. Just tried at my local and it didn't work. Not impressed. Had to carry 16 cans of tuna and 2 tubs of mayo home. Glad some people got bargains with this glitch. Happy Easter everyone.

been to my local extra store today and found the tuna however in the main aisle it said 2.69 each but on the end of the aisle it said 5.39 bogof so i bought two thinking i wud get bogof on the 2.69 and didnt so took it to cs who checked all the labels and said im still getting bogof when i had been charged 2.69 each for them but i argued how can it be bogof when they are clearly marked 2.69 each they are obviously not on any sort of offer in the end she asked the duty manager and he said to give them to me for 2.69 bogof very misleading though advertising them as bogof when they are clearly just normal price

Just came across this thread on return from Tescos in Baldock, Herts.

They have the shelf edge ticket still at BOGOF £2.69. So popped 2 in the basket then went to pay for shopping. Checked my receipt and it had not taken off the BOGOF. Went to customer services and they went off and checked the shelf, came back and gave me £5.38 refund, double the mistake back or something. Bargain!! Free tuna. Should have gone back and cleaned out the shelf, but I am not like that, and I couldn't have carried it all home!!!

Same thing just happened to me, i couldn't go back, because i got the last 2 on the shelf, even checked the aisle but there were none there:(.
I think they were about to take the bogof sign down, as there were clearing the shelves. I'm happy though 8 tins of tuna for nothing yay.

Thought I'd try this one out at my Tesco about 3.00pm. sorry no time for proper punctuation

4 can pack green giant sweetcorn showing on shelf at half price £1.24
4 can pack green giant sweetcorn showing on end of aisle promo full price £2.49 BOGOF.
Same product different promo resulting in same price paid at till £1.24, clearly the glitch was giving a double reduction - but not now
4 can pack j west tuna half price £2.69. £2.69 paid at till and no BOGOF
800 grams hellmans mayo 1.42 SEL in Mayo section - End of aisle pomo buy one get one free. No shelf edge label in the promo area. Bought 6 - No BOGOF shown.

Went to customer services and began a short but successful campaign.
Firstly the CS lady said 'its already half price so instead of getting it BOGOF you're getting it half price' I said it was not on half price, it was £1.42 and BOGOF. She said I've already had this query today and its already half price.
I said the shelf says £1.42. So we both went and looked at the sel. She said that label is for tesco mayo. I said its got Hellmans 800 grams written on it. She snatches out of the plastic holder and the hellmans light 800 grams showing £1.41 and says its half price look. I said it doesn't say half price it says 1.42 hellmans 800gram (again). She marches off and I follow. She makes phone call and says I can have a refund if I want or do I want to speak to the manager. I said i'll speak to manager. She phones, managers busy she asks do I want a refund. I mention DTD she says yes I meant refund and keep the Mayo- its the same as DTD
Result free 6 x 800 grams hellmans mayo normally £2.85 a jar. Phew !

Morrisons have a 4pk of tuna for £2.00 at the minute. I think it was john west. Could be a good little bargain for any tuna lovers that missed out on the glitch?
