As you can all see from my signature below, My Capital ONE card started with a balance of £9,400 in 2004, This is when I tuned into Martin's Site and he was going on about their 3.9% for the LOB, I duly followed his advice and now two year later, give or take a couple of months my balance is now down to £3,968:j :j target is to break the £3,000 barrier before Christmas!! I still have a way to go, see my AMEX Balance, but one step at a time, If only I can remember what I spent the money on:o
Anyway, onwards on downwards:rotfl: and thank you to all my fellow DFW FRIENDS AND INDEED EVERYONE ON THIS SITE for the encouragement and advice I get.
THANK YOU ALL:T :T :T :T :T

Good news.. keep it going.:j
Can I ask why you are trying to reduce the Capital ONE card rather than the AMEX?
The AMEX has a higher interest rate so surely this is the one you should be concentrating on first?

I started off with Capital One initially, AMEX came along this year as I hadn't learnt my lessons by transferring my credit cards debts onto Cap One:o Clearing my Cap One first is more achieveable and the balance goes down more quickly:D, once I have broken my £3,000 barrier the plan is to maybe throw more money at Amex. Anyway looking at Amex, I've already paid off £1,200 in seven months, for me this is not bad going as I haven't run up anymore debts on the credit cards for me the AMEX is the last of it.
Anyway I'm doing it my way;) so don't mine the 1% difference in rates.Debt Free!!!0 -
