Student Loan / DD guarantee terms?

Hello all, I'm not sure whether this should go in the student section or the loans section ... hope this is OK.
I have just received a letter this morning from SLC saying they are going to take repayments starting 10th April, which due to the bank holiday is giving me just 4 working days' notice.
As I have sent in my deferment forms but something has clearly gone awry, this is an unexpected payment that I haven't budgeted for and don't have the money for!
However I have (stupidly) thrown out the small slip of paper with the SLC's direct debit terms on it as until looking into it all today I thought the DD guarantee was generic across all organisations.
I have tried to call them as the call centre would usually be open on a Saturday but 'due to the bank holiday weekend' they have decided not to open today so I can't speak to anyone until Tuesday!
Does anyone know what the SLC's DD guarantee says regarding how much notice they have to give to amend (or start taking) payments?
Many thanks,
Sophie
