FAME "auditions" at The Playhouse, Edinburgh

My son is very keen on Drama, a few weeks ago he (along with hundreds of others) went to an "audition" being held at the Edinburgh Academy in Henderson Row. Imagine his delight when the post arrived this morning to say he'd passed the audition for the Edinburgh Playhouse Stage Experience production of Fame and offered him a place if I pay a fee of.... £210!

The paperwork which came with the letters appears to say it's a 2-week course from 10-24 July but doesn't say anything else about then appearing in Fame the Musical, so I'm a big confused?

Does anyone know anything about this, and is it indeed just a course? Thanks.

If you read the small print you will see that for a payment of £210, your son will appear in three of the twelve perfromances.

You may find that it will be cheaper for you, as a member of the audience, to attend than it will be for your son to be a member of the cast!!!!!!!!
