Lentil help please!!!!

Hi there,

I cooked some red lentils with some vegetarian stock on Monday, we had a dahl on monday and soup on tuesday and wednesday I have some of the original cooked lentils left, I would like to make another dahl tonight to go with some leftover potato cakes.

My question is are these lentils still okay to eat?
They have been stored in our (very cold) fridge the whole time.

If they smell Ok they should befine. Off lentils are very obviously off, and will give you a very sore tummy if you were stupid enough to eat them. They normally look a bit frothy and have a fermenting sweet smell if they are bad. If they've been in the fridge since cooking the are more than likely OK but today would be the last day I would eat them, if I were you.

They smell fine, I will have a little taste before before I add anything else to them. Next time I will freeze the left overs it's just been so busy here the last couple of days that nothing went to plan including my menu plan so the lentils just got left there!
