Or cancel, go into store and order the furniture from there so you get a voucher to use in store.
I ordered a swingset in store because I didn't want to have to spend the voucher online.0 -
Hi.
I have been caught out too. I have an online £10 voucher after buying a cooker and I will have to spent it online. You cannot reserve an item online and then go to store and take advantage of the voucher. Your purchase must be delivered. So technically your £10 free is actually only £4 after the delivery charge.
So what I am going to do is purchase extended warranty (replacement product cover) for my original purchase, this attracts free delivery.
Then, take it (the certificate of insurance) back to an Argos store within 45 days and cancel the policy - you are entitled to a refund of the warranty! So I will be refunded £10 in Argos vouchers and the remaining to my card. Sad I know, but £10 is £10 and I feel online shoppers got a raw deal with this voucher offer.
Hey presto!
Hope that helps.

The Argos delivery charges are quite expensive and have stopped me from buying online on many (actually all) occasions - wouldn't it work out cheaper for them to process more orders online and subsidize the delivery charges? rather than process my order in store which likely costs them more in the long run with maintaining a brick and mortar store.Shin: a device for finding furniture in the dark.
