I know £35 sounds a lot for a hair cut (it was Toni & Guy) - but - I hardly ever get my hair cut and really needed really awful split ends sorting out (think scarecrow hair). It would have been a waste of money to have gone and still have had split ends when I came out. Plus I think you get what you pay for.
Similarly, I buy my work shirts from Thomas Pink which are around £70 a shirt for a woman's double cuff cotton shirt - but they last for years (I'm still able to wear two shirts I bought in 2004) and I never have to worry about what to wear for work.
I'd prefer to have a few quality items, than loads of low quality items which aren't worth what you paid for them.
Think my way of cutting down spending is going to have to be to spend less often, rather than spend less - if you get what I mean ? I'd prefer to have top quality parmesan once a month, rather than have lesser quality parmesan several times a month.0
