Has anyone had dealings with Morgan Stanley?

Yesterday we had 6 phone calls from Morgan Stanley about our debt. Each call was made by a different person, a couple of which were quite intimidating. We typically get 3-4 calls a day from them.
We have 'signed up' with Payplan (they have been brilliant), who have just sent out our Creditor Summary Report with all my proposed repayments.
Any hints and tips for avoiding further calls would be appreciated

its all on a dialler system but they are calling as there is no payment arrangement, Have you told them you are dealing with payplan? if not call them and tell them, they SHOULD put the account on a hold. if not ask to speak to a manager and tell them and get them to put the account on hold. if they refuse report them to OFT for harassment.0 -
Change your phone number & go ex directory and don't give it out to any businesses.
If they want you, they'll have to write.
Oh and subscribe to the TPS (and MPS!)"One day I realised that when you are lying in your grave, it's no good saying, "I was too shy, too frightened."
Because by then you've blown your chances. That's it."0 -
Write to them quoting the legislation here..

and ask them only to contact you in writing.
6 calls a day sounds like harrassment to me. You could be out earning more to pay debts if you weren't spending all your time on the phone to them

New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
hi, yeah i also had a call from m. stanley yesterday. they've been calling me each day for 2 weeks now. the guy from cccs said to ignore the calls, but i picked up esterday absentmindedly. the 1st guy on the phone was great, really understandin but said he had to pass the call on as he hadn't the authority to freeze charges etc. then a woman took over and had me in tears within minutes. she said i had to pay £70 there n then or else i get default notice and collections agency. i explained cccs are now taking payments (paid the 1st one) and i've been advised not to pay any extra. she said surely i could borrow money from someone to pay her and if i did she would refund charges to bring my account into credit limit (over limit at mo due to major charges). she wouldn't hold the offer for another day, despite my having paid cccs and having no money left as surplus. she called cccs liars and said they'd misinformed me etc etc. it was awful, a phone call of 40 mins, me grizzlin away. the cccs have been great and i've felt so relieved since talking to them, but now i'm all scared again.

the next time someone suggests that you borrow more money to pay the debt, ask for their name. then address them by name and inform them that they have broken the OFT guidlines on harrasment and you will be making a formal complaint about the breach, which could ultimately lead to the withdrawal of their debt collection license.0
