You need to tell them you are BR, our policy had a clause which said is anyone in your household BR, and a No by it as at the time of taking it out we weren't.
So we called them and were told that the company we were insured through didn't insure BR's, but someone else would for £170 a year more!!
We have gone with it as figure it is best to be honest than have something happen and a claim not paid.0 -

Read your policy documents, I think you will find a clause in there about BR. Most home insurance policies require you to tell them as soon as you or someone in your household declares BR.:pB&SC No. 298
