watch out for potentially iffy private message

i think this is the best place to post this as the message i got today was about vouchers. i got a private message from someone who has just joined today and hasnt even made any posts. they claimed that a certain website is giving away free vouchers. i wont mention their name just incase they are above board. i also wont mention the website they suggested i go to incase one of you accidently clicked on it and my fears were proven correct.
i have informed the mods but i thought i would post this to warn people to be careful just incase the mods cant act quickly enough.

i guess i'm the only person to get a dodgy pm recently then? the users profile still exists so the mods either dont care or are all on easter breaks at the moment. oh, well no serious problem as far as i am concerned coz i didnt fall for it.0

yes but at 4.12pm. their last activity was at 8.18pm. according to their profile they registered april 2010 and they have not made any posts at all. it may well be an april fools joke by someone who doesnt have the brains to realise they are meant to be done before 12noon. why start a new profile, if you just want to have a bit of fun with everyone?anamenottaken wrote: »What time was the message you received?
