This weekend ~ Is debt-busting weekend!!!!

As my lovely boyfriend is away this weekend in Orlando (for work, lucky thing!) I have decided to have a major de-junk.
We have mountains of boxes from when we moved in last year stashed under the bed full of bits and pieces we haven't touched or even looked at for bloomin ages and I am fed up with it!!
Therefore, my plan is to get it together and have a good sort through and get the lot of it on eBay! Hopefully I will make some extra pounds to be able to pay a chunk of debt off!
I am feeling really motivated as I will be on my own and can just get on and be ruthless!!
Also this way I don’t go out and spend money!!
Is anyone else planning anything debt-busting this weekend?

Last week was a bit of a debt-busting week for me. I still have an outstanding deposit from a tenancy last year where we had to get letters to prove all bills had been paid, and we hadn't bothered. So wrote to everyone and have written my letter to management service to get my £220 back!!!
It's funny, I used to be so 'I don't want to ring them, I hate ringing banks/card companies/writing letters/sorting stuff out' now I can't wait for my payment on my credit card to close so I can ring and close it!!!
I'm sure lots of you have noticed the change in yourselves, but I've completely changed from how I was before, now I'm very 'Bring it on! I am armed with the knowledge!' before I used to pile my letters up in my desk drawer!1st LBM (Pre-Career Change): 01 March 2006 Debt Free Date: 28 April 2008 | Worst Debt: £7244.36

I love having a de-junk. I'm planning on putting a few more baby bits on ebay and some shoes that I've hardly worn on this weekend.
I'm also looking for a part time job now that my Mum has offered to help with childcare :j I never thought I'd be excited about returning to work :rotfl:
Have a good weekend

Hi guys, I'm also in the throws of a clear out. Tomorrow I'm gonna list them on e-bay (first time) and see how it goes. :T
This weekend my o/h and I are trying to think of things to do that does'nt involve spending money. Any suggestions folks?
Princess Aphrodite, have a good old clear out and keep that motivation going and you'll be debt-free in no time! :j

Thanks LittleL - I plan to post my achievement (and the amount I earn) in a week or so here so hopefully will inspire others to do similar things to make extra money!
Good luck to you in your eBay thing too - you will get the hang of it don't worry!
Suggestions for a free weekend -
DVD evening with munchies
If the weather is nice make a picnic and pack a rug and go off to a woods / park (me and my boyfriend do that now and again on summer evenings with a bag of chips and curry sauce lol) - its really romantic (honest!)
Evening with friends at their house / yours
Go for a bike ride together
These are a few off the top of my head - will post more if I can think of any (I know there are lots more!)Best wishes,

Yeah I wish we had bikes.. that would be fun and good for the old butt..
I suggested going to the zoo ( I'm a big kid at heart) but o/h said it probably costs a fortune now.
We're gonna go to the Glasgow museum as it's been closed for the last 2 years (renovation) and has recently re-opened, so that'll be good and cost-free. If the weathers nice I think a picnic is on the cards, cheers! :T
And we've also decided to have an alcohol free weekend!!!!! Now that might be tricky! NO!!!!! NO!!!!! NO!!!!!!

Haha! Good luck with that my love!
We're getting keys to new flat this Saturday, so will spend the day scrubbing and making it pretty before moving next weekend. Will have to spend a fiver on some rose' to celebrate with. Then once we can start packing I think eBay will become my best friend.
Sunday we're putting up a fence for a friend. I love doing odd jobs on Sundays. Nowt better than playing with some wood or doing a little painting, especially if the wearther is nice and / or you get paid for it0 -
Aww, good luck in your new home... :T
I'd burn lots of incence and oil burn lovely ylang ylang or lavendar before moving in..... I love those smells, honestly try them..
You must be excited :j :j
