I've opened a Classic+Vantage; now what?

At the risk of sounding like a numpty, I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do to take advantage of the 4% that I can get.

I have £21,000 I'd like to split between the 3 accounts I'm allowed, but can't quite deduce how I'm supposed to go about creating these accounts.

I've opened a single Classic+Vantage and set up my online banking, but where do I go from here?

If I simply transfer the full £21,000, will the other 2 accs be automatically created and the money evenly split?

Can anyone correct my stupidity?

Thanks.

You need to open 2 more accounts either online or in person.

And you probably won't be able to do it online...

I had to do my 2nd over the phone. The first chap told me it couldn't be done over the phone so i called again & they said no problem

    Also, it's not 4% is it? It's 3.14% i thought?

    Yes, sorry, it's 3.14% Net.
  • I opened the 1st account last Oct/Nov time. I then applied online to open a 2nd classic saver account this month. It showed up a few days later and then you press the upgrade button and choose 'other accounts' and add vantage for free. Then a few days later I followed the same process to gain the 3 accounts and the 4% aer. Some people haven't been able to apply online, I was a new customer to lloyds and it was all straight forward for me. Good luck!

I opened my first account online at the end of February, but the Internet Banking system would not let me open accounts 2 and 3 online. I followed the advice from here and went into a branch, and they quickly had them opened for me. I told them why I was opening the accounts, and they were fine with it.

So to answer your question "Now What" - the answer is a quick trip to the branch!

Also, remember you need to feed a £1000 each month through each account.

I've only just found time to go in to my branch, but was able to set up the 2nd and 3rd accounts without any bother.

I could have deposited money in to them, there and then, if I'd wanted, as they were opened instantly.

Confirm all your details again - presumably they won't have changed much - and indicate you'll meet the £1,000/month funding requirement and it should go swimmingly for anyone else looking to do the same.
