I tried Tesco's brand slimfast before, guess it's the same thing you're talking about, and it was vile. I didn't finish the container I opened and tossed the other container out. Tastes nothing like actual Slimfast. Not trying to bash your find, just encouraging anyone who hasn't tried this before to taste one before stocking up.

sorry actually I havent tried it. so I might get stuck with it too.Gonnna try it now.

ITs VERY NICE. I tried the strawberry one but with whole milk, not skimmed as they suggest on the pack. good for me as im on the road all day, if nothing else will make a very passsable milk shake for the rug rats.

Not if it makes it more palatable and it works out cheaper/better for you than a lunch of thick white mayo based sarnies, with crisps, a mars brand bottle of coke ;)

I used shakes for a bit when I lost weight, due to loss of appetite and used full milk :)

So what did you think of these shakes then, are they any good?

Im on these at the moment, think theyre great!!

The powder ones(2-£6.00) are good, especially the chocolate and coffee. think the strawberry onses are horrible though. The individual shakes 3-£2.00 are good though- inc. strawberry. They actually do suppress your appetitie.

  • Whatever. Actually i dont need to lose weight. in fact I could do with putting a bit on but given that im on the road with water and coffee it gotta be better than stopping for s +k pud & chips. cant argue at £1

The ready made shakes in the long thin cartons are nice - only tried the strawberry one. All powdered variety slim fast or tesco is yukky

Will have a look in my local Tesco tomorrow- think they are changing the packaging? Maybe why it's reduced- I don't like them- but hubby uses when training/dropping weight- so this would be a great saving

Thanks mummiedearest-well done on the saving!!:)
