Cake Mix - £1.69 each or 2 for £1

Grandaughter made the cake mix up - didn't cook evenly (thinner on one side but that may have been due to my new silicone cake pan!). Sponge was lovely and light, icing a bit runny so added some icing sugar. An excellent buy especially at the bargain price.
That's exactly what happened to me!!! I've just bought a silicon cake pan and it was so easy to get the cake out - but it hadn't cooked evenly and was thinner at the edges. Not a problem though.
Although it's a good offer, I think the original £1.69 is a bit over the top ... with the cost of the added ingredients it would make the total cost of the cake in the region of £2.50. Not bad for under £1 though!0 -
i went in to get some of these and while i was in spotted boxes of cookies in the bakery dept, 20 big cookies, 5 each of 4 varieties for £2, another bargain!0
