Advice on the rules of statute barred

Milly - From what you have written from your friends letters, she has NOT acknowledged the debt, she has asked the DCA for proof that the debt is hers.
What about recent correspondance (i.e. when you first posted in April 2010)? Did she write back and tell them that the debt was statute barred?
If not this is what she should do. Dark Convict's great letter suggests that she has already told them, so if she has not, then this is the first step.0 -
I am afraid my friend says she has not sent any further correspondence since the letters in April 2008 - she has been too scared to do the wrong thing. Is there a standard format of a statute barred letter - one that doesn't acknowledge the debt? If so, does anyone know where can I get a copy so I can pass it onto her?0
