endowment advice needed.

way back when we were young and daft, we contacted a well known company originally about house insurance, the guy who advised us also talked us into taking out pensions (which we later discovered we were very misssold as our company had one of the best pension plans going) and my hubby asked about life insurance.. the agent assured us that an endowment policy is what we would be best with. We were renting our home at the time so it wasn't linked to a mortgage, he then advised us to link it to a mortgage, as it would act as both life insurance and when the time came for the last payment it would pay us £50K. i know that any advice givenon the site is not finanical but i'm not sure that we would qualify for comp as we took it originally as life insurance. can any one help?

You can stilll make a misselling claim. But the compensation is calculated differently. They will add up your total premiums , add interest and deduct tax.

Make a complaint to the advisor who sold you the policy.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
